A. Directorates under Co-ordination wing headed by Member (Co-ordination )-
(i) Planning and Co-ordination Directorate (Covered state : West Bengal)
- Technical examination of flood management, drainage and anti-erosion schemes, monitoring of the schemes being implemented under Flood Management and Border Area Programme (FMBAP), PQ/VIP references, EFC Memo/Fund release under FMBAP related to the state of West Bengal (W.B.)
- Works related to Ganga Flood Control Board (GFCB) and Ganga Flood Control Commission (GFCC) meeting. Preparation of Annual Action Plan for GFCC. Preparation of Annual Report of GFCC.
- Works connected with BIS, CBIP including R&D activities. Issue of guidelines for material specifications quality control and maintenance to ensure implementation of works and maintenance of proper standard. Participation, documentation and dissemination of recommendation of special studies / guidelines or investigation conducted in house and with other scientific organizations.
- Works related to TAC and works related with of Farakka Barrage Project.
- To draw out phased and co-ordinated programme of imiplementation of works included in the Comprehensive Plans for flood management and annual programme of works in respect of states being dealt by the Directorate.
- Monitoring of annual flood events, preparation of weekly flood reports and annual flood reports including flood inundation maps of Ganga basin. Compilation of annual damages and flood disaster management and climate change issues.
- All Works related to e-Samiksha and e-Governance, Works in the respect of website up-dation / preparation, maintenance of Library in GFCC,
- Any other works assigned by the Chairman/Member (C), GFCC from time to time.
(ii) MP-II Directorate (Covered state : Bihar,Jharkhand, Rajasthan,Haryana and NCT of Delhi)
- Technical examination of flood management, drainage and anti-erosion schemes, monitoring of the schemes being implemented under Flood Management and Border Area Programme (FMBAP), PQ/VIP references, EFC Memo/Fund release under FMBAP related to the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Haryana and NCT of Delhi.
- Works related to the Joint Committee on Inundation and Flood Management (JCIFM) and related matters. Works related to the Joint Standing Technical Committee of India & Nepal (JSTC) and related matters
- Works related to Kosi High Level Committee (KHLC) & related matters, Works related to GHLSC (Bihar portion) and related matters.
- To draw out phased and co-ordinated programme of implementation of works included in the Comprehensive Plans for flood management and annual programme of works in respect of states being dealt by the Directorate.
- Work related to Grievances and CPIO of GFCC organization.
- Any other works assigned by the Member (Co-ordination) /Chairman from time to time.
